How much$$?
Forgive my ignorance, but is this a modified CR250 cylinder, or is it one designed and cast from scratch for the CR?

Isn't this standard bore x stroke CR250....it's only cylinder and head that is changed. I don't see 6 speed or different crank/stroke there.
How many people port their cylinders and/or put the 2 piece head on such as VHM? Is it not allowed to port your cylinder in ICE, how is this any different?
What makes this kit have to go into Super ICE class?

IKF rule for ICE:

#304.3.1 Cylinder must be OEM, ports may be altered, no addition or deletion of ports, cyl head may be modified or aftermarket, 2 piece insert ok. base gasket none tech, aluminum gasket OK

So you would be running with the gasgas with one less gear, but sure would be a fun little swap and go.

Why do you have to run one less gear? Doesn't Viper make a 6 speed swap?

Understood, but if you get bumped up to run with the Gas Gas, wouldn't you also be allowed the 6 speed?

Otherwise, you could buy a 2013 version Viper Race Tuned Honda cylinder and 2-piece head for your Honda CR250 and put out 68Hp at 10,700rpm and max 34ftlb of torque. I suppose that a price comparison would be in order.

That does look a nice bit of kit from Manfred and I like the nicely painted exterior. Good job.

Pass me the paint brush!

Best Regards

Yes I think the six speed is OK in the super class. It sounds like all the new stuff coming out could make this class vary interesting.
