Can anyone give me a gear ratio for the Yamaha Sportsman class (lite and medium) that will get me in the ballpark for the Shenandoah track at Summit Point.
Thanks |

OK Larry, since nobody replied, for a Leopard on Summit Main, we run a 16/78. For Shenandoah we run a 16/85. SO, add about 6 or 7 teeth to the axle gear would be a good guess? I would hope one of our Yamaha guys would reply! Come on guys!
You should have mentioned that last Thursday on the GT5 race!

Larry --
I would consider adding 3-5 teeth more than that, given that our handling generally isn't as good as theirs...not that I've ever run especially well there, 14/80 might be worth considering as a starting point...

| Larry what size tires you running as well. Scott has given you a good starting point. May need to go up or down from there. Depending on motor and tires size. |
