Between now and March 2nd we will be forming the Arkansas Competition Committee which will determine the rules and classes to be run at the Arkansas Motorsports Park. The AMP is a ½ mile paved road course and includes a 1/6 mile oval track. A photo of the track can be found at www.arkarter.com.
Those who volunteer to be on the ACC will decide on the initial rules and competition classes that we will be running at AMP. Our first ‘tune in, tune up’ day will be on March 2nd. At that time, the decisions that were made by the ACC, will be presented to those in attendance. Those who compete in a given class will have the final say as to how we run their class. If you have an opinion please be there on March 2nd.
On March 2nd drivers may spend time on the track for a cost of $25.00 but that can be reduced by bringing in the $5.00 coupon that is located at the AMP website (http://www.kartways.com/). Please be advised that the track management does not allow the use of tire chemicals that are commonly used in dirt racing due to the possible damage that can be done to the asphalt track surface.
Any additional information about this event will be posted on the website http://www.kartways.com/. Please help us spread the word about this event. Thanks!
Jack
