Tri-C is hosting a race in June on the infield Course of the AAA Speedway 2 mile infield road course in Fontana California. Check the details at Event Forum http://www.ekartingnews.com/viewtopic.php?t=121434
While this course is a little longer then the old King Taco tracks, is there anyone out there that ran any of those races in the mid 2000 and remembers what gearing they ran? We are starting to get asked this question a lot and would like to know a general range to tell people.
I know there a lot of people that have come into the sport since the old races that were held on this track and are excited and curious what to expect. If you have an old racing story from a King Taco race that you could share with us, we'd love to hear it as well.
We tested the track on a Stock Honda and GPS put our speed at close to 100mph at the end of the straight, and we most likely didn't have the right gear. With the draft and the right gear we should see speeds in excess of 100mph on race day. Also, we already have a couple of Superkarts signed up and these guys say they should see in excess of 130mph. So, it should be a fun spectator event as well.
If you'd like to come join the fun this year, registration is open at WWW.TCGP.NET |
