i believe the SC software works on some computers and not on others. I have six computers, it works on five of them and the sixth which i use at the track will not talk to the camera when we go online in Smarty Manager. Any clues as to why? _________________ understeer happens on road courses and usually is pronounced with a British accent. Push happens on ovals and usually is pronounced through a wad of chew. Are you running "Windows 95" on the "Track" laptop? |

Win 7 on all computers. The only thing it won't do is show a live online picture on the computer which is a pain when I use it to set up the view I want for different sessions. _________________ understeer happens on road courses and usually is pronounced with a British accent. Hi Chris,
A couple things that you can try to get Online working in SmartyManager...
-Be sure that you are running the software with admin privileges. To do so, right click on the SmartyManager icon on your Desktop and go to Properties>>Compatibility>>Privilege Level>>check the box for Run this program as an administrator.
-Make sure that you are running the latest version of SmartyManager, which should be version... 1.08.06. If not, go to www.aim-sportline.com and grab it.
-Lastly, ensure that your camera has the latest firmware installed in it. If it is the standard SmartyCam, the last release was 1.03.10.
Let me know if we can help. _________________ Josh Hanrahan

Chris,
It is an common issue, but annoying nonetheless. Something else that I have done in the past to remedy this issue is...
Check your Microsoft NetFramework. It may need to be updated... www.microsoft.com/net
Again, let us know how it goes and if we can help with anything else. _________________ Josh Hanrahan

Josh, I am sorry to report no success with the admin suggestion. I will look at the network framework today. Thanks. _________________ understeer happens on road courses and usually is pronounced with a British accent. Push happens on ovals and usually is pronounced through a wad of chew.
