The use of karting logo’s such as Tonykart, Intrepid, CRG and such. How does one obtain the ability to sell a product (one that is very unique to the sport) using these and other karting logos?
Thanks in advance for your time and energy with this matter.

Any thoughts? The companies out there who produce the graphics for kart pods, how did you obtain the necessary rights to reproduce the logos? Again any thoughts? _________________ Paul Withers |

| I would start with a direct email to each company asking permission to use their logos. |

That sounds like a start. Would that be their main office overseas? It seems that kart companies are from Italy or somewhere it that region. Or do they have offices in the United States?
Thanks for any and all replies.

| You are over thinking this. Browse around on the companies websites. Send an email to the email that seems most appropriate. The only person that can give you permission to use a copyright/trademark is the owner of the copyright/trademark. The main company owns most of the copyrights. It will not be a dealer, importer, or distributor. If you are using this on a product you plan to sell expect to pay a fee for the use of a companies logo. The price of the fee will be entirely up to the owner of the logo. |

Cory and John, first let me say thank for your time, energy and most of all your suggestions. Yes I have been sending out emails to the main factories and home offices of most karting manufacturers that I can find. I have also visited the uspto and found more information and addresses. All and all I have been very busy from your suggestions and will now look to hear from some or all of those that I contacted. I do understand that fees and royalties will need to be negotiated. Again thank you for all that you provided and hope to see you guys at the track soon.
