Im not laughing at the situation and what went down I'm laughing at you still thinking your in the right.

Please post the link for everybody, please so I can be done with this and allow people to make their own judgments. I've been carrying on with you like a small child on here. Yes I admit it, because I felt if I didn't do it no one else would. But honestly I've got three business's to run and two boards to serve on, so I think you can understand can't keep carrying on with you on here. Some one else can pick up the torch for me if they like. So post the sucker and let everyone make up their own minds.

Stanley,

You are referring to Casebolt as "our" President. I realized that I have not seen a Stanley Morgan at the PKRA track and there isn't a "Stanley Morgan" as a member at PKRA. You are quick to post on eKarting but have never posted on the PKRA forum. Who is the lier hiding behind the fake name and acting as you are a member? You need to stop hiding behind your computer and come clean to who you are or stop posting on the forums if all you are doing is reading them and don't know all the details...Keep in mind there is always two sides to every story. What I do know is that you don't know what you are talking about and if you had gone to the meeting the other night like the real members did you would realize that this is not all Bryan's fault.
I just want everyone to know "Stanley Morgan" is a fake!!
At this point PKRA needs to move forward; what is done is done and there is no changing it.

Like I said in an earlier post, I am done talking about the deal. That is the past. We need to move on. But, in the future, we need these deals to be transparent and open to discussion by the membership.

Jim,
You are right. I am nearly 100% sure that Stanley Morgan is an alias. Calling people names for no current or future benefit is a weak man's move. I, too, say stand up and be counted.

For what it is worth I have been contacted by a couple people that I like very much and trust. They vouch for the integrity of our president. They say he is a good man with good intentions. I will take their word.

The sad thing about all of this is that it could have been nipped in the bud. The PKRA forums board operator, like "stanley morgan", is the epitome of someone that is hiding behind their keyboard, should not be the first line of defense of PKRA's digital world. He causes more problems with the insulting e-mails that he sends to the membership. This could have been confined to the PKRA forums...But, when you shut off the only local outlet to discuss these things and insult those who do... Ask LAKC.. it was a hard lesson they learned a few years back as a result of the chain guard incident. But, they learned from it and continue to be one of the biggest, smartest clubs in the country.

I never claimed to be a member. Brian Casebolt got caught lying and now people such as you are going to jump to his defense by slandering anyone that tried to print the truth? Let me ask the question, once again, that made you all crap your pants...Did Brian Casebolt or any member of the PKRA board of directors, personally profit by the MG tire deal?

He was asked who he was in another thread recently.

http://ekartingnews.com/viewtopic.php?p=707986&highlight=#707986

I kinda think anyone who posts but doesn't fill out their profile shouldn't really be taken seriously. Selena Sol http://selenasol.com/selena/ taught me how easy it is to become someone you're not on the internet in 1996.

To answer the question about personal profit you would need to know how much discount was given on any equipment, or services offered to current or former officers by AZ Kart Werx http://azkartwerx.com/. I seriously doubt you'll ever find that out but I do know Phil De La O http://www.delaomotorsports.com/index.php?page=1 switched to their services from Buddy Rice's shop around the same time the first MG deal was done. Was there any graft or corruption there? I certainly don't have evidence I can share but in my current role as an elected official we are advised to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest.

What I will say though is it doesn't make sense for any track to run a different spec anything than the sanctioning body they are affiliated with. If IKF runs Bridgestone then any IKF track ought to also spec the tires their members will use to run regional or national races. Otherwise crew chiefs and drivers will need to spend a whole lot more on testing to be competitive at the next level. MG makes a fine tire, in some ways better than Bridgestone. But like I implied in a previous post their distribution system, and sales strategy sucks. In racing or business nobody likes to start out with an arbitrary handicap and making one local supplier (or race promoter for that matter) the de-facto distributor for every other local shop or club gives that business a distinct competitive advantage over their rivals.

I'm no longer a PKRA member, I left them even before I moved out of state. But, as a non-profit club their members have the opportunity to change things if they want.

The only reason I'm even posting in this thread though is this problem is probably being repeated in clubs all over the country. I would encourage every club to evaluate their national affiliation and keep their racing programs as close as possible so their members have as good a chance as possible to move up if they want.

JMHO,

NO!

I am a volunteer and I put in 3-8 hours a day on club business after working 8 hours a day at my paid job. I work in and industry unrelated to karting or any kind of racing. I was elected by the members of PKRA to the Board of Directors and I am currently serving my second two year elected term. I was elected by the Board Members to serve in the role of President. I pay my membership dues like any other member of PKRA. I race for fun and exercise and I pay the same race entry fees as any other member racing at PKRA. I do business with and purchase my tires from two of the local kart shops here in Phoenix.

Am I the only one who questions how races like these can be announced without all of these details being worked out beforehand?

Does karting really suck this bad?

Sounds like a good policy for the board to consider Wink

I think the promotor made the race announcement, not the board. And thats a good thought about getting a contract signed before annoucing it.

I met Bryan, in person, for the first time last night at the 30th anniversary race for the PKRA. He seemed every bit a gentleman with a nice, clean family who were all very accommodating. He's young and energetic. He is a good looking guy with personality, charisma and business sense. This is exactly what a club President needs to operate a club as a business and still maintain the "Fun Factor" for all the members. He does an excellent job.

I know nothing of the details of the swap from Phx to Tucson. However, over my 62 years I have learned to "Follow The Money". You can bet that somebody, somewhere, paid someone else to put the race where they wanted it to profit themselves in some manner.

Kudos to the PKRA for their excellent handling of the 30th anniversary race last night. What a delightful group of racers and club members.

Each of us "Founding Fathers" from 30 years ago had tears in our eyes at some point through the evening. At one point in the late 80's and early 90's, the club nearly fell off the map due to racers entry fees being pocketed by certain individuals with the power to do so. Thank God those people are gone. Long live the PKRA.

Mike... You are absolutely wrong about people's pockets being lined to move the event. In fact, it cost many of us thousands of additional dollars, including Tom Kutscher the Owner of SKUSA. In my opinion, PKRA is a much more suitable option for such a big race.
Nobody benefited (other than the Tucson track, and a couple locals) by moving the event. Any such implication is very off-base.
I am not going to get back into the details of this debacle. At this point it doesn't really matter. For the benefit of PKRA, we need to move on and let this thread die.
