Didn't Mike Goebel and Ken Schilling get their helmets painted a few years back? I seem to remember they liked the results. Don't recall who painted them or what the helmet paint job looked like. Maybe one of them will respond with something... _________________ Bill Cox

Both mine & Mike Goebel's were done by www.alivedesignco.com but he (Alex Alives) is in Santa Fe Springs, CA so I've held off posting a response to the original inquiry due to him asking for a painter in the NY/NJ area but now I've been called out by my good friend Bill Cox. So... it's not my fault!!!

Yep...that's the one. Nice helmet paint job.
I'll bet Alex ships stuff all over this great country. So being in NY/NJ isn't as big a deal as it used to be. _________________ Bill Cox

If thats the route everyone wants to take this, there is a guy in Indiana, well, a couple of them, but Polen Designs is where my money is spent. One of the best up and coming painters in the country in my eyes.
As was others, I was witholding information due to the request of painters in the NY/NJ area. _________________ Brian McHattie

| Not asking anyone specifically, but what does a general paint job that is considered reasonably priced cost? |

I visited some of the website for the painters posted here, the low end started at $400 with the high end at $950. I do not know about you but I do not see a paint job being worth $700+ dollars. |

I would say $350 to $900 is the average cost. Value is not the same as cost. Some place value on style and can afford it. As someone who has painted a few helmets, I can tell you, nobody is getting wealthy from these prices. It is a very time consuming and skilled process, and anybody doing creative "hand" work should get a good price for their talents. _________________ The art is in the details
