Im new to this whole karting thing.. But I have noticed hat there are a lot of friendly helpful people in this industry...and would like to share some positive experiences ...

First would be Apex Karts ...George... I met George when I was looking for Kart stand about a month ago .. We got to talking and I explained to him how I was looking at buying a kart across the country and the seller wasn't being very helpful.. He took my number and a week later he found me what I was looking for... Even went through the Kart at his shop before I picked it up .. And he refused to take money for his effort... Great guy

Next would be Dave Davies from CRG.. I met him while looking for a three tier stand for my move... We got to talking ..I explained to him I had a Dd2 with a bad case he told me to bring it down so he could look at it.... I brought it to him with no great expectation as I was told by other rotax dealers the repair would be expensive and I just didn't have the time as I was moving in two days ..Dave told me he had a set of cases he could give me at cost and He would have it for me the Next day...(Less than 24 hrs later).. He did say that the price might go up since he would not know what else it needed until he open it up...he called me later that day to tell me everything was great.. Only additional charge was main bearings and rebuilt starter( starter was really messed up as it snapped off case and was dragged for a while).... Price was great(entire bill was cheaper than what 3 rotax dealer i contacted quoted me for just the cases no labor) ..

Just wanted to let people know ..there are still places that go above and beyond to help out....

Hector,

I've been around karting for about 20 years, and my experience is that there are A LOT of excellent kart shops. I've dealt with quite a few and can't remember a bad experience. It amazes me that they are so open with information in this competitive sport. I attribute this to karting shop owners' passion for the karting.

That's what people on here keep preaching, go LOCAL! They are all there to help you. I buy on internet only if the local shops don't have what I need.

I can say all the same about Action Karting in NJ.

Jeremy is a class act and just plain hard worker.

Also their trackside support is fantastic.

Nice to have good people in the sport!

I'm glad to see George Vorillas of ApexKart Sport get the credit he deserves. I never could understand how he could help so many at the tracks and ready his son's own equip to race. Some people are born with good hearts, but George's is willing to sacrifice his own day at the track to help others. Thought I would put this plug in fer my good buddy.

I have to agree with everyone, when I start racing in the WKC everyone was very helpful. I think I first met Brian Fisher of DRT Racing when I was at track and could not get kart started and this guy (Brian Fisher) came over and took carb off cleaned it and fixed a broken wire and had kart up and running. I asked him how much i owed him and he said don't worry about it just get out and race. Don don't worry about the no charge part it was before you two partnered up at DRT . The Fish has always been there to give me and other his knowledge for free and labor at a reasonable price. I just wish the people in my daily life were half as helpful and honest as karters.

As long as it's thank you season, I'd like to thank the Irish Guru on the East Coast, John Mulvihill. He was always there to help me through the yrs. I could never be where I am today without his helpful expertise. thankssssssss Johnny.

Happy Holidays everyone in the forum family !
