That was mine, too. Great little track.
Slamming through the curbs in the chicane was always fun, as well as the constantly changing grip in the hairpin and sweeper due to rubber and dirt respectively. It definitely wasn't sexy, but I think it greatly embodied a lot of the positives that are associated with the early days of karting. |

| Well there was a place near the Erie Airport which is where I probably first expierence for a go-cart, but as far as a more complex kart I would say South Bend's track, did a endurance race. |

TNT Kartways Quincy, IL. Circa 7 years old. Took a unrestricted flat head Briggs out. Brother didn't think I would go fast enough to worry about a rest restrictor plate. I did. I ramped off the Monza into the fence. I took a hiatus for a while after that! |

NCMP. 7 years ago. And still the only track I've ever driven on. And aside from rental karts, I've only ever driven one kart (okay, two, becasue I'll shake down my wife's sometimes).
So one kart, one track. I'm pretty adventurous, eh? _________________ Spec TaG Masters @ NCMP / #23 |

This is pretty neat.... I have some observations and questions though....
Is Marshalltown still running - I remember reading about this being a pretty active track in the 80s.
I didn't know that Cuddlebackville was that old... those pictures would be cool.
Scott - one kart/one track ... but 7 years! Sounds like you made it well past the average.
Steve O'Hara - you should come out to the vintage event at Avon NY.... The track was built based on Azusa - and has stayed in that basic configuration for over 50 Years! It'd be like going home!
Benn - I assume you finally found an actual purpose built track to run your superkarts? ... even the word "superkart" sounds crazy....
Finally.... it sounds like many of us are similar in age .... but I can't judge maturity! |

| NCMP has been open for 7 years already? wow. I remember racing a MWSS race there when the track first opened. I don't remember what year they opened though. |
