how much of a dent is too much. This weekend I had a "racing incident" and got a dent in each end of the pipe.
one on the curve before the cone and one on the other end at the end of the cone.
anyone have a decent pipe for local races. _________________ Arrow AX-8/ Rotax Sr. |

I'd say any dent more than a 5cm radius ( Sorry for the metric, I'm Australian ) would have a change on performance as you would be compressing more of the exhaust gas. _________________ Arrow X2-28N coming soon |

Thanks that's why I asked. I understand the theory of how the pipe works just not how things like this change things.
on my ICC I changed silencers once and it did all kinds of wonky things. From a large ID inner tube to a smaller ID inner tube. I guess that increased the pressure up top also and I found detonation on the piston top. Changed back after new piston. Argh. _________________ Arrow AX-8/ Rotax Sr. |
