Hello everyone,
Does anyone know how much bigger a cr 250 engine is than a cr 125? just the engine (height) (width). I heard they are almost identical in size but I can't find that info on the internet anywhere.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you

Glen,

A CR-250 is about 1.5 inches bigger than a 125 in height and length. A lot depends on what kind of mount you use. In width, it's only about an inch wider. Here is a top view of one of our karts.

They easily fit on a CIK type kart even for the larger driver. They sort of have to, the position on the bike and kart are really defined by the sprocket position.

On the right track the big motors are a joy to drive. The hardest part is dealing with the vibration. Not so much for the driver, it's for all the stuff on the kart. 250s shake at a different frequency than 125s do - so different stuff falls off!

Benn,

What I'm wondering is how you kept that big motor cool with that little radiator? These days a lot of karters are popping on radiators big enough to cool a Civic, and that is just for the 125's!

I would rathe run just the Epic set-up on the front but it's not quite enough on our 100+ days.
