Currently Franklin Motorsports has 3 Drivers competing in this category in Daytona. A great package so hoping for improved numbers over last seasons Sr class.

Look for the full announcement on the WKA Pitboard next week --- I think it may entice a few more players to jump in.

Lynn,
I am sending in Colton's entry for Daytona on Monday. I was just curious who was running the class. I am not one of the lucky ones on getting a deal on a pipe, before I spend the money for the third year in a row, I want to make sure people will be entering.

Lynn,
Unless that announcement is that WKA has come to their senses and are leaving the K4 pipe in place, I believe you have allowed them to implement the path for the demise of the K-71/HPV/KPV east of the Rockies.

I haven't seen my rulebook yet, although its probably around here somewhere, so I have to ask. What is the 2013 formula for Komet Pro? Is it using the old KPV 4 header with the KPV 2 pipe?, or is it using the 2 header? Is the flex length different than Juniors? While we're at it, whats the correct weight? I heard there was going to be a payout? Is this true and if so, what is it? Thanks.
Every year I say we're not going to run Komet again, but for some reason I can't shake trying it at least once. Since pre-entry was due last week, its probably too late for me at this event, but maybe the next one. _________________ High Quality American Made kart stands. Change that to NO. Didn't know about the 2 inches shorter flex rule.. no time to test it. |

Patrick, Guessing , a day or two. It would be a day or 2 that I don't have right now. Building a Daytona kart for Leopard and getting the engines broke in will be tough enough. It may even be that the KPP engines would have to go back to the engine builder to be changed to suit the shorter flex rule. I have no clue. This coming year we have our plate full again with two new classes that we have committed to. We will wait and see how it works out at Daytona and make a decision on it after the race. |

.
There is only one header for all KPV classes, sportsman, junior and senior. |

I'm not an engine builder, but my guess is you'll want to run the flex as short as allowed and gear from there. Not much to test in my opinion. |

Based on the incentives posted, we would definitely consider it if we were running the full Man Cup schedule. We loved the KPV class. _________________ Blaise Haynes
