CR125 Transmission Shaft Play?

Guys,

Turns out I already have a '96 six speed transmission which should be a direct swap into my '99 cases if I understand correctly. I have assembled everything (have not torqued the case bolts but I lightly tightened them with the gasket in place). I shifted through all the gears and it seems to working fine. However, I noticed that the shaft that the clutch bolts to (not sure if that's called the main shaft or counter shaft) has some axial (in and out) play. The crank and the other transmission shaft have about .2mm of play. The shaft for the clutch has about .6-.7mm of play. I shifted through the gears while spinning the shafts and it SEEMS to work fine whether I push the shaft all the way in or pull it all the way out. I COULD shim it but I am not sure that's even necessary. I could not find a spec. for the endplay of that shaft in the FSM. Anbody know if that play is excessive or what the spec might be?

Well....looks like I am answering my own question. Turns out that when the external collars are installed and then the clutch bolted down, none of the shafts end up with any play in them. I did have the '96 transmission so I did not need to shim anything. The good news is that I have learned a LOT about the CR125 transmission and how it is put together!
