Hi All,

Continuing a commitment to support karting in the New England region, Checkered Flag Indoor Karting has decided to open the track to World Formula race karts. Thanks to our new longer and wider layout and an improved ventilation system, CFIK is able to accommodate World Formula race karts around our twists and turns. As we undertake this new venture, there are many details that may need some refining. Everything but the dates are subject to change.

Open Practice December 9, 2012
Race 1 January 6, 2013
Race 2 January 27, 2013
Race 3 February 10, 2013
Race 4 March 3, 2013
Race 5 March 31, 2013

Arrival & Registration: 5:30p - Sessions begin at 6:30p and end around 9:00p

Round Schedule:
Each round will consist of two different sessions. The first session will be a 90 Minute Time Trial. During the Time Trial session, drivers will make a 10 lap or 3 minute run (whichever comes first). Each driver will be allowed to make their first run as the only kart on track. Once every driver has had the opportunity to make a single time trial run, we will allow up to 3 karts on the track at a time. First runs will be determined by the registration order. Additional runs are round robin and first come, first served. Karts will queue on pit lane. Drivers who are scheduled to share a kart will be allowed to drive 3 spots after the primary driver as deemed necessary by racing officials.
The second event will be a game of Cat & Mouse. The top 8 drivers based on fastest lap time will race 2 at a time. The drivers will start on the two opposite ends of the track and try to chase each other down. The first driver to catch the other will win the round. If more than 5 minutes have passed without a clear winner, the winner will be determined by fastest lap. Winning driver will go to the next round. In the event that two drivers sharing the same kart are scheduled to oppose each other, each driver will get 2 minutes to set a faster lap time than the other. (Note, if we have 16 drivers, we will allow all 16 to race and decrease the time limit to 3 minutes).

All the details can be found online at http://www.checkeredflagindoorkarting.com/leagues.html

I also will personally have a kart for rent for fellow racers.

Thanks,
Tom Prioli
