This last weekend I dusted off my Arrow Ron White tmk9c and took it out to the fairgrounds of Fresno. Ron Perry and his Kerman Kart Club team sure have developed a talent for setting up some excellent parking lot track.
The setup last weekend has some excellent sweeping turns. I was the only shifter out there so I left on my training wheels. Didn’t try to overdo it but great fun doing powered drifting and blending into a solid bite to setup the next corner. Not to mention the great fun of rocketing out of 2nd gear corners. Is there anything more fun than steering a rocket ship?
In the past this venue has been known to be a bit bumpy. I learned that some pavement repair had been done. I expect that the combined experience of the Kerman team and the pavement repairs, it is not an issue anymore. I can say that the setup this weekend was less bumpy than then being offline at Buttonwillow for sure.
If you get a chance, put Fresno/Kerman Kart Club on your radar for next year. Might just be the best place to train for Supernats. |
