Come join us at The Pit in Mooresville, NC to witness history in the making as I attempt to set the Guinness World Record for distance by a single karting driver in 24 hours on an indoor karting circuit!
-----------------------ADMISSION IS FREE!!!!------------------------
The event will also feature the Racing for Tourettes Pro/Celebrity Race on Saturday Dec 15, shortly after the conclusion of my 24 hour attempt. Along with the pro race, we will also be holding driver autograph sessions and a special performance by American Idol contestant Dave Pittman.
This is a charity event, so to raise money we will be hosting a prize raffle. Tickets are currently on sale at www.treyshannon.com. They are $25 each, 3 for $50, or 5 for $75. All proceeds from the raffle will go toward raising awareness for Tourette Syndrome and supporting TS research.

Sorry to break it to you, but it has already been done.
"At the end of 24 hours, Trey ran a total of 922 laps around the 0.919-mile course for a record distance of 847.318-miles, breaking the mark set by Lloyd de Boltz-Miller of Norfolk, UK on October 1, 2010 of 801.38-miles."
This was not an indoor kart, but a high end 125cc Rotax capable of miuch higher speeds and much more traction than any indoor track.
It will be very difficult to beat this on an indoor kart with 8 hp.
But goodluck! |

Yeah that was me. I did it last year at New Castle. One of the specifications of that record was that it was on an outdoor circuit. The indoor record will be a separate record.
Thanks for the well wishes! |
