Hey guys, so I'm trying to figure out if there are any aftermarket options for bodywork on my 09 Rapido. It's the older style yellow bodywork and I would like to (if possible) find the newer style. The new type is not available from Italian Motors at this time. From what I understand it is a KG Evo kit. Is this correct?
Top photo is how my kart is now, bottom is the bodywork I am after.
Thanks,

Yes, it's the KG EVO bodywork. You will also need the EVO nerf bars and probably the lower bracket/mount for the fairing.
Was Italkart still using the Unico bodywork in 09? Are you sure the chassis is from 09?

Fastech and Lad are 2 Italkart dealers too.
http://www.fastech-racing.com/ and http://www.ladspec.com/contact.html
Fastech has one of the best online web sites for kart part purchases.
Most kart shops will carry KG Evo bodywork, but like Oscar said. You will need Evo style nerf bars if you go that style. By the way that old style is called KG Unico. |

I did the conversion on my '08 Supersonic V. You could go a little less expensive and go with the Eurostar kit, but it's slightly heavier and doesn't match up to the graphics as well. There's really no "kit", but some shops will bundle the parts for you. If there's still any question to the parts you'll need, you'll need the nassau panel, front spoiler, left and right side pods and left and right EVO side nerfs.
You won't necessarily need the lower mount for the fairing/nassau panel if you have a spare top mount. You can shorten it up, put two holes in it and, with two slight bends, can mount it to the red plastic that marries the top and bottom elements of the front bumper. I'm sure some might say that this is a lot of effort to save $6, but if you have a number of them lying around, like I did, it works just as well as the purpose-built part and makes more room down by the pedals.
I'm not sure why you're saying that IM doesn't have them in stock as they state "in stock" on their site. Of course, like Jeff said, L.A.D and Fastech should be able to supply those parts as well. Obviously, I'm a little biased as to where you should purchase from... _________________ AP Kart Racing

| Yeah I figured it out. I was looking at the eurostar kit they have which said "temp unavailable." Didn't realize to add each piece separately. |
