| Thanks for taking the time to get this information out about the new pipe. I'm sure there are a lot of people wondering about which path to take now that the can class is gone. The more information available regarding how to setup and run this package, the more apt people are to get interested in running the class. |

Thanks John,
Thats really all we were trying to do was get out some info for everyone to see. If anyone has any questions give me a call and I will pass on any info I can. Since this change was made quite late for most, just thought we would try to help. We also have done some dyno work with the .750 filter cup for the juniors and will try to post comparison dyno sheets tomorrow on our facebook page.
Thanks again,
Kent

John,
Measurement was fron piston face to end of flex. I will get a picture of the pipe and header on laukaitisracing's facebook page later today.

Tim,
I believe it is 9 1/2 minimum from piston to end of flex. It runs on the dyno very similiar to an HPV 3 pipe would.

Just a bit of advice to the average karting consumer:
If your engine builder tells you that you need a new cylinder head because the current cut will not allow your engine to be modified for the new pipe to run at its optimal potential.......send it to him without your current head. That way you can sell it to someone who does not subscribe to your engine builders theories
If your engine builder tells you that he needs to send your cylinder out to the EDM shop to have the blowdown re-adjusted......well, same advice applies also

Mike
Do you know peak HP with a junior yamaha before the restrictor plate?
(I don't know much about reading the dyno sheet. I can't tell if the above comparison with the sportsman engine is good or bad. They look fairly close to me?)
I know we had a couple of comer K80s regularly dyno over 10 hp last year...
Thanks,
Tim |

Tim,
On our dyno, a normal Jr. can engine came in slightly over 12 HP.
The new restricted filter cup drops it to 10.6 at peak.
Jr. sportsman around 7.1
New SR-Y pipe around 15.2

Looking at the Dyno, the Jr Yamaha last year was about 12.1, with the restrictor, about 10.5 or so.
