It was mentioned here recently and really hit home. Time for the youngin to take a break from Karting. Autocross and sprint racing.
Physically I don't think we can safely compete. JA is totally out of our reach with speed (or the lack in ability to achieve required speed)
For sprint we are in the same boat. Jr1 with LO206 is fast, and Rotax junior is WAY faster. (he's turning 13 soon).
I came to this revelation at the sprint track this past weekend. I put our Mini Max on a full size chassis and took it for a spin. Holy crap!!!!!!!!! it is fast I was running times comparable with our better Mini max drivers and thought to myself "nope this is way too much for my 60 pound boy".
My friend was driving my sr. max and I was keeping up with him, so we switched and the results were the same. Maybe leave a bit on the long straight. Other sr. maxes out there and we confirmed the sr. was on pace.
