Can anyone give me an idea what it would cost to sand blast a frame and powder coat it or paint it?
I bought a chassis that has some extensive wear underneath and I am thinking of using this opportunity to maybe paint it another color? The seller didn't describe the condition of the underside of the chassis the way it is. He say just a few little scratches from being on the kart stand...
Since the kart was clearly driven on the street, the underside of the chassis is pretty scratched etc. I do not plan to drive my kart on other than a track. Therefore any scratches I put on the chassis will be way less what it has now. I also want to prevent rust etc - should that be a concern?
Additionally since it was street driven, I wonder if there should be a concern for the chassis being tweaked. How much is the charge to test this, where can I go to have this done ?
Please give me some pointers thanks. |

I had a chassis powdercoated about 8 or 9 years ago and I think it cost me about $140.
Chassis will get scraped up, whether on the track or on the street. I have seen some that were almost worn through the wall and had never been on the street. Some tracks have pretty high curbing and hitting those doesn't help.

| stop being "concerned" you are not a pro, running Skusa you are as green as they come, listen... take it out and drive it, then you will answer all your own question.. who cares if its scratch, or not 100% corner balance, that is the least of your worry.. GO DRIVE the Kart.. |

+1 on all of above... but if you must know if it's str8 call around to kart shops near you and ask if they have a chassis table most shops offer this service.
