Take a look at the car being drive in the video. The shifter is rather vertical and opposed to the angled seen in most kart. Are these thing changeable via aftermarket parts?
I own a CRG Road Rebel 2012.
I am also looking to change the clutch lever and pedal in the future as well and angling the steering wheel more toward me.. Can someone please recommend a good aftermarket company ?

Cesar,
You can heat up the shifter arm at the current bend position, a butane torch works well, a hair dryer works but takes a loooonnnnngggg time (don't ask me how I know...), and gently bend it using a stiff axle (example: T5) or some kind of tubing to the position you want.
I bought a very nice Shockwave billet aluminum clutch lever combined with steering hub that angles the steering wheel towards the driver by ~10-15 deg as well as billet pedals. As they've gone out of business since, I'm not sure if they're still available...
If you can't find a combination clutch lever/steering wheel hub, then there are 10 deg steering wheel angle spacers that work well.
In addition, most kart chassis have two mounting locations for the steering wheel shaft to the two support tubes. Use the lower of the two. I've also seen a third hole drilled and used successfully. _________________ Ken Schilling

Hey Ken, I missed you post.
I will look at my steering column tomorrow. The wheel is a little high for me I for sure need to move it down some and then angle it toward me a bit. |
