not super familair with KT-100's but When I was helping my buddy put his new to him kart together I noticed the 3 hole air box did not have any filter inside.

That has just got to be a problem. Is it missing or not designed to have one.

It's designed to have a filter inside the air box.
Some people remove them because they like to suck crap into their engine so they can complain about the high maintenance cost on kart engines.

Yea that's what I figured. I'll have to look for a replacement for the box or else go with the K&N style as the local series rules don't define.

If you want to get in line with WKA rules it needs to be a two hole air box. Internal filter is highly recommended for engine life. K&N filter would be louder so you might want ear plugs if using one also you can't choke it down if the throttle sticks.
