|
|
I have an AIM Mychron 4 on my KPV 100 CC powered Kart. It is connected to an AIM GPS-505 that has worked flawlessly for over a season.
A couple weeks ago the GPS stopped working and imulationously I cannot downlaod data from using the DataKey.
The GPS plugs into a 2 port data hub. The hub is powered by a RC battery. The battery is fully charged. The free port on the datahub is where I plug in the datakey when I need to do a download. Normally I plug in datakey into the free port on the hub, turn the AIM on and download starts. Almost looks like power is not getting to the hub (since both the GPS and datakey get power from the hub), but I checked all wiring and it is intact.
The egt and the IR laptime reciever both work, but these are plugged into the back of AIM unit itself. Not that I think the system needs it, but the 9 V battery inside the AIM display unit is fresh.
Any suggestions? _________________ Ambrose Buldo - AKA Racer27

Thanks for the input. I believe I did this and no change in results. I think the 3rd port (Lowest) on on the back of the AIM was for Data Key and Data Hub Connection. I will try it again just incase I selected the wrong port on the back of the AIM. . If it was just the DataKey not working, I'd buy a new one and be done with it. But fact that the data hub (Which the GPS is connrected to) is dead also leads me to believe it is not just the key. _________________ Ambrose Buldo - AKA Racer27
