A front hub on myn1999 F350 is making noise and I went and priced them at a local parts store... They want $300 apiece Shocked . I went to eBay and get them for $65-75 apiece.. Is there a big difference in quality between them ??

Seems like you might as well try the ebay parts first. If they suck at least you are only out 130-150. And most likely, I would bet they are fine.

I have bought various car parts through ebay; a/c condensers, drive axles, body parts, etc. Never had a problem yet.

rockauto.com are good to deal with too. you can usually score a 5% or 10% off coupon for rockauto on the taurus club forums: http://www.taurusclub.com/forum/129-rockauto/

Always keep in mind eBay dont sell anything but auctions. The quality and service you get is down to the seller, just like anything else on the internet. so theres no point in saying "ebay is awesome" or "ebay sucks" for car parts as such.
You can get good stuff at good prices though amazon too.
Lastly, its sometimes worth getting the part number and googling it to see what prices google shopping finds for you.

I've used both ebay and rockauto, (and many others). All are good, but be warned, rockauto takes forever to ship anything. They are actually based 5 miles from my shop (didn't know this at the time), but it them over a week just to ship one item, plus transit.

One thing about ebay is that you can at least read their feedback. Most other stores you can only scour the web for complaints, and that's about it.
