Leopard Water Pump

Hi,

As part of my routime maintenance I decided to pull my water pump off and clean/lube it etc. I'm a little confused as the impellor turns independant of the drive pully. Am I missing something here, is there a clutch of some description in there? Is this re-buildable item?

Everything seemed to be working fine at the last run so I don't think I've broken anything, I just cant see how the pulley is driving the impellor.

That doesn't sound right. Is there a set screw to fix the impeller to the shaft? Some are just pressed on. I'm assuming you have a serviceable water pump. You can buy rebuild kits for some but not all the kits include the impeller and drive shaft.
