Results from the Summit Point national race are posted at the link below. Thanks for all that came out. We had a very good showing and some new faces to this track. Unfortunately 4 of the races on Saturday afternoon were rained out.

"You all"??!! Geeez Jeff, you've been spending too much time down South. It happens to us too!!!!
Good to see you folks again. Will catch up next season, somewhere. Good luck at Georgia and Daytona.
Clark Sr.
PS: the Stock Leopard class at WKC events is really growing. We're hoping it does what Stock Honda did. We're averaging about 10 per event, where Honda is at about 17-22. We're getting there. What a great class, huh? |

Class is awesome Clark. End of lap one going 4 wide into turn one was great! Some of the best and funnest times I've had on the track were on Sunday. _________________ 2007 Birel M31

Wish we were closer to run even more events with you all the time. I may have to move Streeter Super Stands down south, or at least leave my racing stuff down there (closer to the racing action). You guys won't mind hauling my stuff around, would you? j/k lol
Can I bribe WKC, SKC, WKA to get me some "Northern" events scheduled for 2013? My I-Pass account is on double time this year!
The Stock Leopard class is a very competitive, close knit, fun and well ran group. It is great getting to race in this class, and I too hope it continues to grow (as I hope all of RR grows).
The last two events have been some of the most fun I have had in 25+ years of racing! Can not express enough how much we appreciate the hospitality, good safe clean racing, fun and camaraderie. Thanks for putting up with me. _________________ Jeff Wesell

Jeff,
Good to hear that! In the past after Daytona if Roebling road is the next race, our club has set up special storage rates for racers to leave trailers down here. We will see what happens next year and will offer it again if possible.
Dart, Woodbridge and Southern Kart club all work hard behind the scenes to have some great events.
PS I have been helping Al get your old kart up to speed.

Thanks to all that participated in the WKC/WKA National event this past weekend. Sorry the weather did not hold out for us on Sat. We got 9 rounds of practice in on Friday, a few races in on Sat, and then a lot of fun races for Sunday.
We had good numbers in the Briggs Classes, Stock Honda, Stock Leopard Classes, WKA Sprint, and the Yamaha Sportsman class.
Thanks for Supporting WKC in the event and we hope that you had a fun time.

Dom,
Al and Kevin were awesome to pit next to this past weekend! And I think they have to be pretty pleased with the results of their weekend as well with the PT4. They for sure were very serious on every aspect of practice/racing. And very serious on the fun, smiles, jokes and friendship aspect too (as it seems to be in road racing). Thanks for helping them out. It was awesome seeing my ol' little PT4 finally hit the track! I know they will miss Roebling but for sure are heading to Daytona- so I expect we'll have a lot of fun together!

Phil Reuter (WKC BOD) asked for this to be posted (and thanks any and all who offered to help out on Sunday):
"Broke Down Motorhome
As I am sure you all heard, as we left the track on Sunday, and just got through the town of Summit Point, the right front lower A frame busted off of the motor home. I will say thank God we were not on the interstate running 65, or more, as I know I could have not been able to hold on to it. I would like to thank every one who stopped, and asked if we needed anything, or what they could do. To the locals, and all other karter families, and the people who did not even know us, it's good to know there are still a lot of caring people in this crazy world.
The Reuter family" |
