Welcome to a small but proud group.
Join a karting club just to learn the rules of the track on karting. ( like SKUSA )
Read all the Rotax posts on ekarting news.
Max out a 2nd credit card for about $10,000
and race as much as you can.
Get ready for the summer of 2003 you will have the time of you life.

I have been running Rotax this year at OVRP. The Lime Rock race falls on a weekend that our track is closed. I had signed up for the Challenge series, but due to scheduling conflicts, I have not done one yet. Can someone fill me in on how the Northeast series is going, ie. turnout, etc...
Anything special I need to know before coming to race a challenge event?
Thanks,
George |

| Just tag what Michael said, NHIS has a great turnout for the max class. Also, the Sept. race will be held on the Frontier track and not the road course. October we will be returning to the road course for the concluding race of the season. |

| Next NHIS race is on "shorter" track, don't know how long, first time they have a race there. On long track there is different driving, speeds are higher, Rotax will be in 80's if not 90's for MPH, but the people are more cautious then on sprint track. It comes down to personal preference, sometimes I think about it too when driving 90+ MPH next to a concrete wall. The closest short track around here is probabyl OVRP. |

Steve,
I spoke with Rick Keller today, her runs the NE Challenge series.
The deal is bring your motor's passport, $180 for tires (YGKs), $20 for pre mixed fuel, $45 to register.
I think you do need to join the Club Rotax thing and get an id card, but I did not confirm that.
He says they get about 8-10 Rotaxs at each challenge race. Gate opens at 7:30AM.
See you there? Any other OVRP guys or girls want to go, I have some room in my trailer.

| im fairly green to this gary, what license would I apply for from SKUSA? or would you suggest just becoming a member and not getting a license. i never thought it was possible but this all seems more confusing the scca stuff |

| Steve, have you been to NHIS? Seeing that you are from NH it is in your back yard. The next race at NHIS is September21-22. Then the final race of the season is October 4-6. Get in touch with Van Guilder or David Whitesell info at http://www.alntricia.net/NHKA/ |

I believe Sugar Hill is a very dangerous track, far more so then NHIS road course. Sugar Hill was the very first track I was ever on, and I believe it is way too small for 125cc kart. It is ok for testing, but not for racing. The walls are way too close. This is my personal belief however.
That said, I will probably be there on Wednesday practice. |

Steve
Look at all the people in the Northeast that want you to enjoy the same addection they have.
Couple of websites check out.
SKUSA the first group I joined
losts of shifters but they do have Rotax and they will teach you alot about karting.
Karting supplies? our foundation has started a new program for kids of all ages called "Laps For Kids"
Good Luck!
