| I have two Easykart 100cc karts. One of them has a bone stock engine in fairly new condition. The other has a good running engine in a more used condition. I notice however the two karts sound a bit different when driving in terms of the low end acceleration. Also its clear you can feel one of them engages the clutch at a higher RPM than the other. There is no slipping what so ever just one sounds and feels a bit different at lower RPM. Does anyone know if there is a way to tweak the clutches to raise the stall speed? Or can anyone tell me what i would be feeling/hearing? I have herd of some people cutting down the inside of the clutch drum to allow the clutch to engage at a later RPM. The reason i ask is becuz i do not just want to swap clutches and see if the difference is positive or negative. I want to be able to duplicate both clutch setups in case i break something in the future. I am not trying to be legal for any sort of class these are merely karts just to train and have fun with. |

| just wanted to inform everyone that i found why the clutch was engaging at a higher RPM. I took apart the clutch and found that the shoes were worn almost all the way down. Makes sense now. I guess milling down the drum would serve as a similar effect with a clutch in good condition. |

And make it fail tech each and every time if you plan to race it. |
