If a man can earn a living building kart stands, more power to him. He is obviously good at production, marketing, and holding costs to a minimum.
Many karters just play in the sport because it is fun. When you spend your money where your heart is, this is called a Hobby. Therefore, if you want it, you don't squawk about the price. Some folks may even want their stand chromed to look better than their neighbor's.
Life is short. Enjoy it.
