The MYLAPS results for the WKC / WKA National Race at VIR are posted here:

http://www.mylaps.com/results/showevent.jsp?id=815158

I have not updated the WKC championship standings yet and will do that this week. Thanks for all that came out. We had a very good turnout and a lot of fun despite the heat.

Congratulations to Clark Gaynor Jr. who drove great all weekend to win both Stock Honda races and 2 free sets of tires from Creative Products (Phil Davis) and DRT Racing (Don Guilbeault) not to mention a 3rd in Stock Leopard 1 that had 4 competitors crossing the line within 0.065 seconds.

Thanks. Great job this weekend Sr. You chasing down Brandon on Sunday was impressive, especially for an old guy.

Stockers faster then mods.....once again. Heard full track was boring??
The grand course was one of my favorites.

Because they had draft Josh.... DUH! I was turning low 13's with zero drafting help. Word was stockers were in the high 15s to low 16s without any draft.

Dont get your panties in a bunch.... the mods are still faster in the same conditions.

Fastest stocker was with drafting help. My fast time was 100% alone.
Compare apples to apples. What was the fastest stock time all alone?

If y'all think my mod is that much slower than your stockers, then come and try and run with me in CIK125 sometime.

diff
1 Noah Stark 31:28.511 2:13.177
2 Steven Rougeou 31:28.606 0.095 2:13.61

Not to stir the pot, but these two karts didn't run together? Simply an easy observations from my end.

I dont think blackhawks going to happen for me. No stockers to run against, and its really mean beating up on the mods/icc's with the stocker.

For now im going to stick to getting my ass kicked over here on the west coast.

Looks like you guys had fun, wish I had something to ready to run, might have made it 4 karts in the CIK!!!

I talk to the trustees almost every year about combining CIK and WKA 125 classes. Run them both as one class, strap on 20, 30, 40, pounds whatever the number for bodywork, and at least you might get 6 or 8 karts, maybe more... The shifter class has splintered off into 3 classes, that's too many, should be stock and mod, and ICC run with the mod, and be done with it.

Josh- No, we only ran together for the first half, until I got punted off, and he ran 16's and thats when I ran my low 13's to catch back up. Doesnt make you any faster running with someone thats 3 seconds slower than you.

Chris- Its just inconsistent. CIK125 had 15 at midohio and 19 at grattan. More than stock. This was a WKC race where the stockers are the big deal. Most WKA events so far this year, CIK125 out numbered Stock Honda. I switched to CIK125 a few years ago because there were only 2 or 3 stockers at every WKA event other than the Woodbridge races, and at the time, there was a consistent 10-12 CIK's and half of them were front pack fast.

Are people leaving F125 because the numbers were low at Kershaw? NO! Thats why there was 10 at mid-o, 17 at Grattan. Because there was only 5 or so at VIR doesnt mean they should drop the class, or that they are slower.

I guess nobody likes what Alain Prost always said: "To win the race at the slowest speed possible"

Why should I go out and beat up and wear out my equipment any more than whats necessary to get the win?
