Championship Enduro Series invites you to come and play at Blackhawk Farms Raceway for the second time this season.
Blackhawk offers a scenic and challenging drive with flowing turns and smooth pavement.
The facilities have been recently upgraded and updated to include a new two story pavillion.
Blackhawk have also repaved turns 1 and 7 since our first visit in June of this year.
Enjoy great camping amenities, a relaxed race schedule, good food and some great competition on one of the greatest kart tracks in the midwest.

All of this year’s CES events offer a full set of sprint classes.

Dust off that sprinter and bring it along, we have a class for you to run it in. Feel free to comment on this thread if you have any questions.

5th Annual “Adam Schatz Benefit Team Race”
Once again we will be running the Adam Schatz Benefit team race.
This race is a fun way to get some extra track time, try out road racing for the first time or even just try a different class of kart.

This year the team race will Have 3 classes:
1: Animal 360/ Piston Port Can 365
2: TAG Senior
3: Shifter

We will also be having our first ever 5K run/walk event on Sunday morning at 7:30 am.
This event is being held in conjunction with Rockford Road Runners running club and promises to be a great, fun event.
We be offering all the usual male and female classes along with T-shirts, awards and prizes.

A $5 discount has been extended to CES members for the 5K run/walk event.

Weekend Schedule is as Follows:

Friday August 10th
At 6:00 pm the gates will open.
CES staff will be available for Registration and Pre-tech from 6:30 - 9 pm.
Grounds will be open for Trailer drop off and camping.

Saturday August 11th
7:00 am the gates will open.
7:30 CES staff will be available for registration and and pre-tech.
8:00 am till 12:00 pm the track will open for Practice by groups.
We will break for lunch at 12:00 and start Pre Griding at 12:30 pm
At 12:45 pm Racing begins with an approximate finish time of 6:00 pm.

Sunday August 12th
6:00 am the gates will open.
Registration for the 5K race @ 6:00 am in the tech barn.
7:30 am The CES staff will be available for Registration and Pre-tech.
9:00 am until 11:30 am the track will open for Practice by groups.
11:30 Pre-gridding will start for first race of the day.
11:45 First race of the day begins.
12:10 Lunch break.
12:45 Pre Griding for next race
1:00 pm Racing resumes with an approximate finish time of 5:00 pm.

For the 5K I might walk that one, been too long since I've run!

James, What if your wife turns better lap times, do you have to do the laundry or dishes? Laughing

The last couple of years they have made many changes at Blackhawk. New bathrooms,tech barn,observation tower over new building by the concession stand. This is a very nice place to bring your family to watch some racing, have a campfire, and do some camping.

Actually we have 7 in total coming from MN if I include wifey. I think Bridgeman bros might be coming too which would make it 9. Two of Gary's sons are running the Schatz team race in shifter as well.

Christopher are you looking to share a ride in a particular class or are you open to anything. Keep in mind you can also run practice on Saturday morning for $50, usually it's about 4x10min sessions or thereabouts.

Live Timing Comes to CES Series At Blackhawk!!

Very excited to announce we just got our timing software setup to display live timing and results via the Race Monitor application. You will be able to follow the action from your computer on the web or smartphone via the race-monitor app, as it happens on the track.

There is also a possibility of a live video stream, but at this point we do not know if the track will have everything we need to facilitate a video feed. The goal is to have a page that displays race monitor on one side of your screen and the live video feed on the other.

IF we have everything we need to make it work, we will be using single camera near the pregrid/start finish line. We are limited in what we can do but comments, suggestions and feedback are welcome.

Redline Photo to Snap Pictures at Blackhawk.

Nick from Redline Photo will have someone from his crew shooting pics at Blackhawk.
We will have someone that Nick knows well and does great work so we should have some awesome pics.

Unfortunately the party that took photos back at the June event let Nick down and he has not heard from them since then, despite trying to contact them several times. No such worries for this event however.
