It's a city lake in Garnett, KS about 75 miles southwest of KC. It's not too bad after they get done knocking the haybales out of the way!! You ought to see it from a laydown. I used to just get started through it, close my eyes and HOPE! _________________ Keep on kartin' llb.

| The hillbilly chicane at the end of the back stretch (about 3/4 of a mile and usually wind aided in the summer)is an attempt to slow down before the karters turn and go across the stone dam. The dam is not solid stone on the spillway side but has gaps where you can sail down a 20-30 ft drop off. Mix in a few sunning turtles on the back stretch and a snake or two crossing before the horshshoe turn= Lake Garnett, Ks. You guys should really come and run it with KART, true road racing. By the way, if the bales were intended to slow them down before crossing the dam, someone should have told Ted. |
