Don't know if I should be happy or sad!!!
Just finished all 4 karts (except setting toe end/camber/castor) on Brad & Lindsay karts BUT, was informed last night that they won't be there. Lindsay took over managing Brad's band this week (HAYWIRED, check it out on Facebook) and have 2 big committments that Friday & Saturday night. Won't be long and will be seeing him on TV!!!
Just have to flip 12 tires on rims and ready to go!!
Good news is that Jim should be back and his kart is ready to kick A$$!!!!!!

We'll be there. Got one kart loaded, another just waiting to get an engine back from Scott Racing Engines. #3 isn't far from being ready.
Mike Taylor is putting the finishing touches on his too.
And the VanNoys had so much fun @ Hastings, they are both planning on being there too. _________________ Keep on kartin' llb.

I'll be there. Installing new radiator to replace the one that was holed by a heavy flying object at Garnett 1.......so I guess I'll just put plain old water in it this time.
Hopefully should have another 125 driver/kart with me as well as a couple of unlimited drivers/karts.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
David, I assume the grand kids are coming along too? Sammy needs someone to wrestle with. He is quite a bit larger nowadays. |

John,
NO!!!! NO!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!
Fellow racers,
I know people are asking why Brad & Lindsay haven't raced much this year and why THE MAN is talking of hanging up the helmet.
1) Who would have thought Brad was going to become the next GARTH!!!!! Plus, at this time of the year, A/C work is in demand.
2) Who would ever thought Lindsay would be the bands manager which she just took over last week and would be having these guys playn at top notch venues in a short period of time. Plus, having her tonsils removed the Friday of MPH, we didn't want her there. You didn't want to be around her then and for the next week!!!!
Making $1000.00 per night the weekend of Garnett, who could blame them for not coming????
BUT, IF things can work out, Brad & Lindsay will be there on Sunday. Would be a short night and a long day. Do they miss it, can bet your A$$. I know they will be at Afton & HPT for sure as Lindsay tells me this because she does the booking NOW and has the race dates.
3) Why THE MAN hanging up the helmet?? NO competition!! Seriously, I have enjoyed karting since 1964 from when my dad first started. I started racing in 1967 at the age of 9 on the local sprint track before moving to enduro racing in 1970. I have only been out of racing for 2 years which were during high school. Will I return to driving?? What you can bet on is, I will be there supporting rather it's wrenching, promoting, race directing, etc.. Don't think you ANIMAL racers are in the clear, no plans to sell the machine!!!!!

Dave, we were just talking last night about what I was taking for the "feed" on Sat. nite. If I find cider and make "apple pie", and we start early enough, I won't have to take anything to eat!
I heard Jim E. was going to be there. He likes "apple pie" too. _________________ Keep on kartin' llb.

Linda, don't start to early! I promised the Grand Kids I'd take them to the sprint track. Four karts ready, only four more to go! We should have a decent sized Yamaha class this weekend. _________________ Sponsors always welcome |
