I usually have no issue with these but in my hurry to get the engine back together i did not put loctite on the crank. Anyway it came slack but he did 8 laps with it slipping and it has made a tiny grove / lip on the crank. You can feel it if you run your nail up the crank towards the engine casing.

Anyone ever had this, is it ok to dress the crank a bit then refit the clutch?

dreaded "spun clutch" Evil or Very Mad

I'm surprised you got 8 laps with it like that, usually you lose all power transfer to the axle and just rev like crazy with no drive and pull over.

I always lap the clutch flywheel on the crank a bit with valve grinding compound anytime I install it. Although the book says to use something different I use the red loctite on the shaft and big nut. In 3 years of running I've probably spun the clutch twice and never had a problem getting the flywheel off when needed. Make sure to torque to proper specs.
