Question, ruling out angle of attack of the front nose is it better to pull the nose out (forward ) to the max of the rules? or is it better to have it set back to keep the over all length of the kart shorter? Also does either make a difference to the kart wanting to come around say if the motor sticks or get a tap from behind.

Hi Gerry

Ruling out angle of attack of the front nose is it better to pull the nose out (forward ) to the max of the rules? Yes it is and/or push the wing back (Look at J.R's Anderson GasGas).

Is it better to have it set back to keep the over all length of the kart shorter? No. In respect of mechanical grip/handling it's the wheelbase that is important, not so much the overall length

Does either make a difference to the kart wanting to come around say if the motor sticks or get a tap from behind. Nothing significant, assuming the aero is in balance in either spec.

Torque = Force x Distance Wink

Best Regards
