Hi all,
Is there anywhere in the States to purchase a needle roller bearing & cage that has 1mm x 7.8mm bearings to suit an RL Leopards crank shaft? Or just the bearings so I can try to home make a 'rough version'.
Reason I am asking is I normally run a 10T front on my RL Leopard with the factory supplied roller bearing BUT I am looking at running on a VERY short track that will require a 9T front to be competitive (9-89). IAME only make a 9T with a brass bush which I have seen wear out so fast it is not funny, even with enough lube that would eventually make the clutch slip.
I have found a 9T from another maker that can mate to the leopard clutch and that has enough wall thinkness to machine out to accept a bearing carrier, I now need to source a bearing......Any suggestions? Or even contact name and suggested cost??
Thanks in advance.
Regards,

A 9t 219 gear will be destroying itself and the chain pretty quick anyway. I would just go with the bushing and have lots of parts on hand day of.
This might help, http://www.mcmaster.com/#drawn-cup-roller-bearings/=hpvp2z
