That looks like a step in the right direction |
Yeah. I figured that was a low pressure pump for carb thing. Even my old turbo snowmobiles were always EFI. Last thing I had with carbs was a Quadracer 500 I had almost 20 years ago. |

Im having a bit of the same problem.
I started out with 155 jet and a 12-79 gear ratio. I was only getting 12,200 on the back stretch and was running out of pull a 1/4 of the way into the stretch. So i changed the gear to a 80 and got 13,449. Im looking for 13,800 or closer to that. So i changed the jetting to a 158 and my RPMs dropped to 12,600, and I was still loosing pull in the stretch in the same area. To remedy this I pulled the 80 gear for a 78 and put the 155 back in. This change allowed me to run 12,4200 but I got the pull i wanted down the track. This is the second day after break in, about 72 degrees. I am running 32:1 oil gas cause of the break in. then Ill switch to the recommended ratio. Also like the other guy said, in a left turn "MOZNA" that i have on my track the engine will cut out entirely. Im also getting some late cracking noise in the engine (at the end of the stretch with the constant RPMs running) with a boost of power that follows.
1. is this normal,
2. what could be going on?
thanks |
