Putting this OpenTrack practice out there...
Sept 8, Saturday, Infineon Raceway 2.52 mile full track configuration.
Run group cost is $9k. 5 sessions of 20-25 minute heats.
We will need minimum of 45 entries at $199, or 36 entries at $250 each.
(The interest (or lack of) will decide if we go forward with booking this date.)
(This is a $60k weekend booked by our partner, the kind of weekend that requires fire tech engineers, rescue engineers, flag staff, 2 ambulance etc. We are offered saturday only. No profits, all paid directly to the host. http://www.gotbluemilk.com/web110911/
Our Sept 2011 trackday was a success
We are not expecting any superkart entries for those concerned.
If you have not yet sent me an email and are interested, just let me know, calkarters@yahoo.com
thanks jason
IMO, interest for big tracks here in the west is down this year. It really is up to ya'll if you want to run this track this September. Spread the word. _________________ CALKARTERS.COM

several guys are asking about Laguna Seca
Our partners actually have July 8 sunday at Laguna Seca. Unfortunately I turned it down. It is a 90dB day. (was a cancelled Skip Barber day) It was offered to the renters and partners got the draw.
Looking at my survey of kart sound readings at LS- icc, mod moto, stock moto's even with Spec silencer and airbox run around 88-90.
Some have triggered 92dB with just the airbox off. We can only run 92dB days, even that is a slight risk already.
Sorry folks, no Laguna till 2013 |

Hi Jason,
How has the response been on Infineon, since you posted this update this week? |

Jason,
That's the same weekend as the Rolex Grand Am race @ Laguna Seca. Superkart race at that event... I'll be there watching. _________________ Play now, work later! |

Guys, Host gave me a deadline, End of June.. I will have to book the event or decline.
This in an annual only opportunity
Please spread the word.
(just like last year, the car groups are paying $250 but less cars, were doing $199 but more karts, 45 karts on the track, you'll still be lonely out there)

| Ran into Dave Rose at Infineon today. He has not heard about this track day and said he will likely join us. He also mentioned a friend with two karts that he thought would join us. |

Any idea what gearing to run for a rotax?
I am pretty interested in this unless anyone thinks using my rotax is a bad idea.
Thanks ! |

16/72,73,74 Depending on your weight.
Have run my Rotax there a couple of times. It is a blast!! 2.5 miles that almost drives like a sprint track. |
