Thanks for all that info.
What size is that radiator ? And is it one of the tapered ones.

I really think that you can lift the radiator if the brackets is that adjustable over the lower part of the na2 pod.

Do you have any more pics ?

The pictures below are of my current setup.

I have NA2 bodywork.

It's 10" x 16" and a dual core. I chose it because in SoCal and AZ it can get extremely hot.

I agree that you can lift the bottom of the radiator to try and clear the lower part of the sidepod but... IMO the lower radiator mount would get excessively long, losing strength & rigidity, plus the top of the radiator would get too high causing huge left elbow clearance problems. Just take a jigsaw/hacksaw and cut away the portion of the sidepod to create clearance as well as the ability to adjust the angle of the radiator depending on ambient temperature and track type (sprint or road race).

Lastly, seeking info is great but now it's time to put your kart together and drive it (on a kart track!). I've been karting for 10+ years and your kart will constantly be evolving with updates. Don't try and make it "perfect" just starting out. You'll always have some little project to work on... I always have a "to do/wish list" that I'm constantly working on.

The photos of Ken's GP chassis are interesting. I use KG Evo bodywork, & the 16x10 dual core rad I have fits w/o modification.

Just got my new radiator installed. 16x8 dual core by Ellis Racing Products. The product is top notch and has exceeded my expectations. Scott builds these one at a time and the craftsmanship really shows. The mount is great as well.

Thanks for putting the pics up Matt. I own Ellis Racing Products and I can build ANYTHING in any configuration you guys want. My core configurations are as follows, single rows can be 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", or 1 1/2". Dual cores can be 2 rows of 1", or 2 rows of 1 1/4. Tanks can be square if you like, outlets can be curved. Any width or height you want. ALL the components I use are made in this country to support OUR economy unlike some of the other manufacturers that I won't mention there names. I have been in the high performance radiator business for 10 years and have found the best quality components I can get and won't compromise for anything less. I appreciate the business from all who have ordered from me and will continue to offer the high quality products for a reasonable price.

Thanks
Scott Ellis

Ellis radiators are tops. I get compliments about my radiator every time I'm at the track, & I just point to the "ellisracingproducts.com" label on the side. It practically sells itself.

Keep up the quality work, Scott.

Ellis radiators are sweet

I just got a spike radiator 10x16 with the included mounts.
It looks like it will fit without having to cut the side pod !! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

The radiator is very light (no water) and looks very nicely made. It's another great option in terms of quality IMHO.

You guys, what type of spacers are you all using for the lower mounting point of the rads?
