I purchased a used 2001 Tracy Tracker 125 chassis and put a CR80cc on the chassis to race in 80cc amateur YDS class in NorCal. With the chassis being all 32mm tubing with removable rear tortion bar, what are the biggest handling issues I will be dealing with, and what adjustments can make to the chassis to overcome the stiffness and be competitive.

I dont beleive stifness should be a problem. I am not all that familiar with the tracy kart but have raced them a few times. Tight is always a handling issue. Remove the bars run a soft Tracy Kart axle and run it wide as the rules will allow. Lower your seat as much as possible but being carefull to not go to far. To low with the seat and the chassis will flex less and possibly bind your kart up.

At the triangulated area at the waist of the chassis, there is the one tube that is perpendicular to the crossmember. Get out a hacksaw and cut that tube in two.

Call Marc... I posted the same in the other post you made. I spent two day's testing, had a CLEAR oversteer issue (even posted here about it...), called him, clear as a bell, SIMPLE solution. He knows so much about his product...

Charlie, a 2001 should have that area you're saying to cut, already cut with a clamp to run either tight or loose...

You're right Jeff, thinking of the 2000 model.
