What does adding the front bar that goes from (spindel to spindel) do to the handling of the kart?

It should increase front end grip.

I dont have a clue if he got them in yet. I also dont know what size they are going to for the lion, i only ran that chassis for a short time 2 yrs ago. and why are we asking? I thought you were on a Top Kart??

oh goody, we always have a problem with front end grip. The only problem is that they sent the shipment of karts with out the front bar (ofcourse).

The fornt bar in a kart will also improve front end turn in and stability.

Mike,

If your kart is pushing because and it is a very high grip track then your kart may be bound up. Adding a front torsion bar would stiffen the overal chassis making things worse. The front of the kart isn't seperate from the rear. This is what always happened with my CRG. I would be pushing like crazy sound I would put the front bar in and then things got worse. It may work on a Fullerton sound don't be afraid to try it.

Put it in as a band-aid fix to add steering response. We have found a properly setup kart will be faster without the bar in.

The bar could also work if you have a soft chassis and are trying to use it in a higher HP class to prevent the chassis from twisting as much.

Don't forget that most bars weight about 4-6 pounds so you are also adding front weight.

Oh yeah,

Same for the rear bar. You should setup the kart without it and only add it if needed. Nice tuning aid to have when you need it but remember the chassis were designed to run without them in most cases.

In the case of a Tony Kart i beleive you will find that it is better to start with the rear bar in. Only in cases with extreme tightness whould you remove it.
