I am getting into Karting for the first time and I am going to get a Rotax Kart due to many recommendations and opinions I have read on the ekartingnews.com board. I have also decided to get a Track Magic chassis due to many recommendations but I am unsure if this should be the 80cc Dragon chassis or the 100cc Dragon chassis. Any input? What are the differences between the two? What are the design differences? I need to follow NAKA rules. These are basic questions but I am still unsure of the difference in the classes. Thanks for helping me with my education in Karting I think I am getting there. |

Well on the list of specs of both of the chassis, they're the same. BUT, their designs probbably aren't the same, or they would make it one chassis for either 100cc/80cc shifter. IMO, I'd go with the 80cc Dragon, simply because a Rotax has almost the same power of a 80cc shifter. Also, most people that race Rotax are setting them up on 80cc and even 125cc chassis, depending on the type of design. Like I said, go for the 80cc dragon.

I believe the only differences are the 80cc Dragon comes with the shift lever and linkage. The 100cc version would be the Rotax model.

Why not ask TrackMagic directly?
Also somewhere around here I think I saw something about NAKA and european homologation (sp) process. If it it true then the chassis need to be homologated???
You may want to follow up with NAKA on this. |
