What does softer axle compared to a harder axle do for handling? And what do longer hubs compared to shorter hubs do for handling? Thanks!

In terms of the axel a harder axel is used to free the kart up in the back which in turn should give you more front end bite. As for the hubs the are mainly use to controll tire wear. If you are rubbing off the inside of you tire it is because the axel is flexing to much, so to fix this you can add a longer hub or collar. Hope this helped

My understanding of the different axles is that harder is for low grip conditions and soft for very high grip.
Longer hubs for low grip conditions and short for high grip.
Your rims will also have an effect on these as well along with wheel width, tire compound, air pressure and track width.
This is what the makes it such a joy to find what works and get positive results from the changes one makes.

| The more axle flex you get the less grip you'll get because the tire doesn't sit flat on the track when the axle is bending. A stiffer axle and/or big hubs will give you less flex and more grip. Stay loose. |
