Any idea how lap times for the Biland compare to a Rotax? 125 shifter?

We figured out why it would not start and got it broke-in. With sea level jetting we were in the 54's already. It looks like it will run in the 53's no problem when we lean it out.

I don't know anything for sure, but I heard that the lap times were similar, or a bit slower than the rotax max, but this was the first time that any of the drivers were trying it, and they probably didn't have any time to tune the thing at all, so it could easily be faster as well.

The sound is awesome!! Never seen it on the track though, just fired up in the pits....it started raining so they didn't run it=(.

Rod,

I figured you'd already have one and about 100 laps in by now!

I saw the motor up at IMI Saturday nite. I was hoping they'd get one fired, but it didn't happen.

I also heard that Brad's gonna rn the Bilands in the same flight as the Rotax karts. Probably won't be much of a race after the hairpin, but what the hey.

I'm hoping to get a spin in one asap. They do look cool.

With YOU in one Rod, I'd expect low 50's right out of the box;-).

Brad, will that kart be available for a test?

We had a Biland running at the local track (800m sprint) last w/e , practicing together with a Max etc. Biland sounds and looks neat, but the Max could put it over on the biland every time. Maybe with more practice, set up, driver skill, etc it would be even'd out.

53's...? If memory serves me right, the fastest Max I saw last season was in the 55's and that was with a SuperPro driver aboard. If the "Bee-land" (I'm trying to get used to the correct pronunciation) is capable of 54's on a shakedown run, this motor will probably be an overmatch for the Maxes.

I saw the motor last week too -- It sure is a pretty looking piece. The engineering and packaging look superb.

C'mon Rod, you know you REALLY want to do this!

It needs to snow around here so I can get my snowmobiles sold, then I could do it. Any one want to trade a good chassis for a good powder sled? Hay, Bad Brad how about a 96 Summit for a Biland? Heck thats a down trade 670 summit=97 HP / SA 250 Biland=29 HP Hummmm. Could I enter the Biland class with a D.D. 580 sled motor. Na I couldn't lift onto the kart stand.
