When I need to replace my quilt-like suit I may go the Armored mesh cycle pants and jacket route. If getting ejected from a kart I'd like to have hard protection on Knees, shoulders and elbows. I've run with my friends "Joe Rocket" mesh Jacket and it is very comfortable in hot weather.
