Ok, so I finally got some fuel for my kart. I got MS98L. What would people recommend for a fuel/oil mix for this specific fuel? My engine is a built CR125. Also, I have Castor927 2-cycle oil...is this safe/good to use?

Maxima927 is a good oil. Run it around 4%: 24:1 or 6oz/gal

I would second the Maxima 927 oil.

Jake, you mentioned it's a "built" cr125; do you know anything about the "build" of that motor? It may require higher octane than ms98.

Good catch Randy, I missed that. If it's modded then you are looking at PV C12. Same oil and ratio is fine. You might get away with MS98 if its modded, but you better pick the least aggressive ignition map and jet rich.

Well that's the problem.... I don't exactly what was done. I know it has an Extreme Karting top end on it but I don't know anything other than that. How can you change the ignition map?

I wish I could tell you! I have no idea haha. I am brand new to karting so I am unsure of all the specs....

Did you recently buy the kart from Doug at Extreme Karting?

If so I know the kart/engine very well.

Does it have white bodywork and a blue frame?

I didn't buy it from a guy named Doug. It is a GP kart....is the GP6 referring to the type of chassis?

ok.... you mentioned it had an extreme karting top end.

Does the engine have white stickers on the cylinder and a yellow box on the back of the seat?

Is the bodywork white?

It has a metal name plate on the top of the engine that says "Extreme Karting" The bodywork is almost entirely blue but there is a bit of white on it. There isn't a yellow box on the back of the seat.
