In the wake of the massively successful World Super Kart Challenge event at Laguna back in May, there was a strong possibility that a 125 shifter kart support race would be scheduled for the October Champ Car event.
That support race will not happen in 2001, mainly due to the lack of agreeable on-track sessions (time of day and duration).
This in no way affects the confirmed return of the World Super Karts to Laguna in 2002.
Thanks all,
Jeff

Figures. No matter how I worded it, Rick would interpret it the wrong way.
Track time, not lap time!
I've edited the original post, to (hopefully) remove any further confusion.
