Southwest Roadracing Association is having an event at Oak Hill Raceway in Henderson, TX the weekend of Sept 29.
So who's going?
Oak Hill is one of my most favorite tracks, so I'm definately going to be there!

Twist my arm a little.
My son runs an underpowered 80Jr and says road racing is all power. Rather buy more power for the 80, he is moving to 125 next year.
I run mostly old & fat 125.
What do I tell him to convince him to want to go? |

No arm twisting necessary.
Bring along your underpowered 80cc Jr. and get some quality track time.
Tell him it is the best racing around! 30 shifters per class, the raciest track in Texas, and a great bunch of people.
Oh, and 6 inch tires.

Pat,
Visit the SWRA web site at www.swra.org for details and entry form. We run all IKF roadrace classes plus several local options. 6" tires are not mandantory nor is there any spec tire unless defined in the IKF rule book. |

Pat,
No. You do not have to run 6" rubber. My comment was meant to be tongue-in-cheek because SKUSA requires 5" rubber in all their 125cc shifter classes (something I don't agree with), but we have the option to run 5" or 6" tires in SWRA road racing.
In SWRA (sanctioned by IKF) shifter classes, the choice of tire size and rubber compound is open, but you have to run the same set of tires in both heats each day. You can run new (or different) tires each day, but not heat to heat.
Look forward to seeing you there!

Well crap. Just when I thought it was safe to go race, work and school both drop the A-bomb on me. Doesn't look like I am going to be able to make it this weekend. !@#!@#$! Too bad, because the turnout is supposed to be huge, and the weather is absolutely fantastic! Somebody please post results when the fun ends.
severely bummed,

| Eric, thanks for getting our hopes up, then breaking our hearts. Adam Thompson was the man on Saturday until tangling with a back marker. Then he left and John Kindhart came to town Sunday. I am sure everyone is wondering what you will be doing this weekend. |

Greg,
Yeah, too bad. I even re-painted my kart, too!
What was the turnout like?
