I can tell you that Rich Simons won the G2 race with Myself coming up Second. He also posted the Fastest lap of the earlier 125 race that day. He did finish ahead of all of the G1 guys also...

Great run for Rich..

wasn't the best weekend for racing. Weather didn't coperate! Satruday, as the 125 class was forming on the grid under cludy skies, a long line of black clouds rolled in and started spewing lightening bolts all over the horizon. The race was called as the strom hit the track and seemed to just hang over the track for most of the afternoon. Besides the lightening, I guess there was a section of track under 3-4inches of water!

Sunday am track was still wet, but starting to dry, but a mist was in the air at the start of the 125 class which was the first race of teh day. field was pretty much split between rains and slicks. Good size field for the club 125 race. I screwed up after rebuilding the engine after the 150. Could only break it in on the stand and I generally run it a little rich for break in. Didn't discover unitl after the green dropped that teh plug had fouled and had a horrendous top end misfire. Ted was running about 6th, but it was getting worse and eventually he pulled off. I believe Chris wright won the race with Chad doner 2nd. Marc and Greg were both there over the weekend, but don't think either one of them ran at all unless they ran in the SKUSA race late Sunday.

Didn't stick around for the SKUSA race as it was the last race of the day adn it is about a 6hr drive home from there.

The 150 mi race was mixed results for us. Ted took the lead off the line and proceeded on in what was looking to be a flag-to-flag win. By 1hr and 40 minutes, he had lead the entire race and built up an 8-lap lead! Then allof a sudden he slowed wqay down and came in for an unscheduled pit stop. Water temp had shot up. Seems a radiator hose had slipped down and hit the brake rotr, slicing it. Well, hose splices and radiator hose were not something we had anticipated and had nothing to repair it with. We tried duct tape and tywraps and filled it and sent himmout again, but it still lost too much water. I believe it was at 1:43 that we pulled in for good. However, because of the 8-lap lead he had built up, he still managed to finish second overall. I'am terrible at names, but I think it was Adam Weir (??) that one it.

It was still fun to do the 150 and see if the motor/tires/driver could hold up. Everything was working flawlessly..until the radiator hose went. A lot different strategy than running an all out 30 minute race like we normally do!
